The worst part of having a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus and a 2012 Chrysler 200 is the battery location. You have to get the plastic fender cover off, which is really a pain. After it is off, you will see the battery and connections. Every time, I get an oil change with battery check included, they never check it, because of the location.

The front left tire has to be taken off then the plastic wheel well liner has to be removed and the battery will be on a ledge behind the front bumper.sad but true

It is so frustrating to me that I would never of bought the car if I knew this.Easiest do it yourself job is switching out a battery, but not in this car.And to clarify the battery is on the drivers/left side of the front, not passenger side for a 2011-2014 200.

Did a battery replacement on my 08 avenger in my garage....it was one hour and half with a coffee break included. Frustrating for sure but it can be done.

Wow...I thought Toyota putting the starter UNDER the intake manifold on 2UZ FE engines was crazy (and it is), but this takes the cake. Do they get up in the morning at Chrysler and eat a big bowl of STUPID?

I am a senior citizen. In 2014,I got this great deal on this very low mileage 2012 Chrysler 200.This year (2020)the battery needed to be replaced. That's when I found out why I got this great deal.Probably because no one else wanted it.Beeing a women,I never thought of checking under the hood.Wbat a stupid place to put a battery.
