How can I get into the trunk of a 2005 Chrysler 300 that has the battery cables disconnected. The trunk and hood won't open.

Asked by loyo2 Apr 16, 2015 at 08:06 PM about the 2005 Chrysler 300 C AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had jump started the module under the hood and had battery checked by NAPA and they stated I needed a new battery. I went back home and started to disconnect the battery cables. I ran into some problems in taking battery out of the trunk and had to stop. I inadvertently closed the trunk and now I can't access the trunk or hood. No electricity at all.

there is an entry thru the back seat to trunk usually drive side has a tab at top right corner to pull up on then pull seat down. After you crawl in trunk get to the trunk entrance where the lock is on passenger side of trunk lock there is a white or yellow pull handle that will pop the trunk open from inside...then you can crawl out that way instead of going back thru back seat. What if you have a huge speaker box in the trunk and can't access the emergency handle?
