Fuel pump is running as long as the engine is turning (cranking and running), and for a few seconds when turning the ignition key on. This theory of operation is applicable to all combustion engines (including 300c). Please click on "Mark helpful" if your happy with the respond. Good luck :-)

I just replaced the fuel pump and I can hear it running. This is the same way it sounded prior to me replacing it. Could there be another problem such as the relay?
