Engine oil pressure low

Asked by cmartinez00 Apr 09, 2015 at 11:36 AM about the 2006 Chrysler 300 C RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About 5 months ago my CE light came on. Codes indicated it was the engine oil pressure sensor switch. the sensor and switch was replaced, but light remained on. The pressure reads low when sitting but increases when driving. Brand new oil filter as well. I live 2 hours away from a certified dodge dealer and am just hoping there is something else i can try. Any ideas?

Other than dropping the oil pan and checking out what's going on, there's really no other thing to do. You replaced the parts indicated by the codes. It's got to be something internal.

I had the same problem and only thing I could do and did was check the oil if oil level was good The other thing I did was replaced the oil pressure sensor I think all I had to remove to get to it was the serpentine belt to be able to get to it and it’s right below the alternator and it solved my problem hope I could help.
