on a 2.7L yes... oil pressure sets the hydraulic tensioner

you also must pry on the head a little once installed to do the initial install and prep for it to fully extend properly. should see it pop up a bit enough to take some slack out of the main chain

and make sure to rotate the engine clockwise only 4 revolutions to check TDC and all timing marks

i put timing tensioner 2 times drivefor a week come out to start it and the chain is slapping the gides again why is this 99 intupid 2 7 help
