Can I change 17inch wheels to 18inch on my jeep patriot

HI, I changed my wheels to 18inch with 245/60 tires to go with, it will cause problems if you don't lift it, rubbing, it does affect the speedometer and also causes performance to go down. If you're not a highway kind of person, this should be fine. I personally am changing it back to 17 inches.
