What are you doing under vehicle that affects it's starting? Are all the battery cables and connections good? Have an auto parts store run a check on the charging system (battery and alternator) for free. Have someone check the Brake Pedal Position switch, and Neutral Safety switch.
puy a test lite on the S terminal of the starter and have someone hit the switch, if it lites replace the starter, not uncommon. I hope this helps
Got to start the darn thing. I use screw driver. You see I have had it into Ford mechanics they can not fix it because there is no code. I have been dealing with this over a year. Battery is fine starter and solenoid is fine
Everything is fine except that sometimes it wont start. I've had everything checked relays new battery new starter everything. That's what I'm doing under the darn thing. I will never buy a ford again never cause they dont care heck nobody cares for a fact whether I'm 70 or a hundred. At least a horse will work
The problem has to be resistance in the S wire or one of the switches. Ford mechanics are usually certified but who knows. Tell them to put a voltmeter on the S terminal and check the voltage while attempting to crank, it will be low either start changing the wire or the transmission range switch or ignition switch. Most car problems don't set codes
Thank you for your help. That's a lot more than I have ever received.
