2011 acadia

Asked by AkronAcadia May 13, 2019 at 06:36 PM about the 2011 GMC Acadia SLE-1 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I start up the car put it an drive move a few feet
and it seems like the brakes lick up or the traction
control grabbing the car. If you hit the brakes or roll
a little further it releases and drives like a champ.
Service traction control light is on and service
stabilitrack is on.  Don't know what to service.

I check that out today. I applied the parking brake gave it a little tug and it halted the car (brake) light came on and the release the brake brakes release and light went out. Drove it around a little parked it and then 3rd trip out it did it again. I rarely apply the parking brake. Any other thoughts.

If the warning lights are coming on, you need to have these systems checked and repaired. Traction Control is a function that is partnered with the ABS and stabilitrak system. You may just have a sensor going (gone) bad.
