I have a 1998 Cadilliac with a n electrical problem. The car will only run for about twenty miles and shuts off. I took the car to a dealer, they replaced the battery and alternator. I drove the vechile for about fifteen minutes and it went dead. Dealer said all the issues were fine. Help please!

Alternator needs a reference voltage from the battery to inform the regulator how much amperage is needed. Without it the alternator won't work, its the plug that goes to your alternator not the big red wire. Remove the plug, turn the key on and make sure its reading battery voltage with a volt meter.
