I am hoping that mine is the fuse, it wont turn on at the console or the light will
not show on dashboard.  2007 Ford F150 XLT

Make sure all brake lights are functioning properly. The secondary deactivation switch on or near the master cylinder could be defective, it happens a lot with Ford trucks. If one of the two switches are defective the cruise control will not come on, or it will not go off. It can be checked with a multi meter. If memory serves, the secondary switch is normally closed (continuity) . At any rate, there are probably several videos on the net about the problem.
