Advanced timing problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 07 f150 5.4l. I've just had everything with the
timing chain replaced. Oil pump and solenoids all timing
chain components. And I still am having trouble with it. It's
runs right every so often. And the check engine light comes
on saying it's advanced timing. What other problems could
it be?

Did the mechanic use Motorcraft phasers? Lots of problems with aftermarket phasers. Have the mechanic perform a live data analysis of the engine and check all categories associated with timing. The phasers operate off of oil pressure. Since the pump was replaced the problem could be there. Is the oil pressure OK? Check electrical connections and signals to PCM.

Yes I believe so. Both times. Could it be a computer problem. I've had everything but the oil pump changed twice. And it's still throwing a bunch of codes. I don't know which ones but he says they are all timing chain related.
