Ck the heater core to see if it's blocked what you do is disconnect the hoses take a garden hose and apply to intake and the water will come out the out put

You can also by pass the heater core and drive it to see if it still over heating if you don't have problems then you need a new heater core

Unplug your coolant sensor thermostat, and both fans will run at high speed, I've had that problem with my 00 sts,and my 01 deville, both have had the head gaskets done.and I installed a after market cooling fan relay kit on the STS.
