5.3 litter engine has a horrible tapping noise problems starting help

i have a 2004 cadillac esacalade and it started to have a horrible tapping
noise and sense this problem started also been giving me problems starting
and from what i could tell it looks like the starter is good and everything else
except for when i try to turn the vehicle on the fly wheel seems to not go all
the way around its like its jamming or something and when i finially do get it
to start it taps really bad its almost got me thinking the oil pressure idk?

So, you're going through all this and your idea is to ask random people online for advice, rather than taking the car to a mechanic, who can actually see and diagnose the car, to have it fixed. Maybe you're afraid of the obvious impending bad news, but really?
