Cadillac CTS 2004 to transmission v

I had car stuck in mud and took
about an hour of spinning tires to
get out as well as approx 2weeks
ago scraped  bottom of car hard
pulling out of driveway. Was
driving and car appeared to go
into limp mode then came out
And next day the engine rpm
would to review high then not
move. Couldn't manuily shift
down as gear wouldn't engage.
However if I turned car off and
back on either in neutral or park it
would go into gear the about a
block or so again just rev high
rpm's and not go into gear. Next
day car will start go into gear
reverse or forward but only move
about 1/2 block be then high
rpm's not moving and doesn't
reset after turning off and on until
it sets about 5 minutes. Codes

c0242. Any clue before I give in to
