BMW 528i 2008

Asked by Red1500 Nov 30, 2016 at 02:48 AM about the 2008 BMW 5 Series 528i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Around battery there was no visible water, but
battery did die days after,i replaced it next day
alarm went of on its own a few times then that
battery went dead.auto zone said it was defective
or the alternator.checked fuses in rear and glove
they were all good except cig lighter.

Checked under filter in engine seemed fine but
didn't want to mess with that part to much.there
fuses and connection there I believe for abs?

And here is some pic of how engine looks.also the
mechanic i just dropped it of at said he has never
seen that many lights on at once?

Also it was a self service car wash with high
pressure.then after wash with spot free.i put the
car in a slight slope(wet still)and popped sunroof
to hear music while I vaccumed and hooked up the
wheels. Kept pushing start button after music
would go of and while on the slope I turned
steering wheel with slow(with car on)  I just don't
know what the hell.

Do u think I could have wet and shorted something
out?

And they work on strictly European cars.
Johnny's auto clinic.san Pedro CA.

Thanks for replying and sorry so long

Did you spray under the hood? Don't EVER do that- it is possible that a new battery can be defective- it is also possible that you might need a new alternator- it is not magic, if the garage you are going to can't figure it out, find a better garage- and quit going to AutoZone for diagnosis- you have an expensive BMW and if you start cheaping out and monkeying around with that thing- you will REALLY pay the price-
