Question type: General

Came across a 2005 530i bmw with 140k on it is
that too many miles and how long you think they
can last if maintained correctly?

1 Answer

145

All depends on maintenance and repairs performed before you buy it. Make sure its not leaking oil or coolant and suspension feels tight. These cars need continued maintenance to perform correctly and be reliable. Be sure to have a BMW independent speciality shop perform a "Pre-Purchase Inspection" on the car before buying it and they can inform you of needed work or what has been done and you can negotiate the price accordingly.
