06 BMW 325 coupe

I just bought an 06 BMW 325 coupe and
something rattles in the back. The person I bought
the car from says it the suspension they say it only
need a 40 dollar part. Is this correct or do I have to
replace the whole suspension

Jose, I am sorry, but I have to agree with Tom. My niece's BMW E46 Series developed that rattle in the rear, after inspecting the suspension components, it was found that the problem was in the subframe that had a crack. Hope it is the $40.00 part but, like Tom says, why then did they not replace it?
