Sun roof cover?

I have just purchased a 2003 330xi with a sunroof. Should there be a sun roof cover on the interior of the car. it looks like there should be but not sure. Thanks,

Some cars have a solid panel that slides from the rear and covers the glass. Look for a handle.

It should be upholstered. Have you operated the sunroof? I always do that when I test drive a vehicle. That is the time to ask the question.
