Asked by Guru9D8ZTZ Nov 12, 2020 at 12:15 AM about the 2007 Jeep Liberty Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I lost only key to my 07 Jeep liberty, I only paid 400 for the
Jeep, I never messed with antitheft systems before none
the less I pulled ignition lock cylinder and proceeded to
turn it over with a screw driver after it started the times
and only ran for about two seconds, then all my idiot lights
quit working all that works is interior lights and radio and
odometer, and door chims, I replace lock cylinder and with
keyless entry key fob and the transponder that origanly
came with the lock cylinder and key now when I turn it
over it does nothing except for maybe a relay click down
by my left foot,  what is left to do

You need the new key that came with the new lock cylinder programmed or flashed to the vehicle. The old key will no longer work due to the new lock cylinder as you found out. Have an auto locksmith help you out.
