Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty with a 3.7 and am looking to swap in a 3.7 from a 2006 liberty. Both are 4x4's Is this a direct fit or not?
What parts/sensors would have to be swapped if any?
Please help!
Thanks! Mark

In some states (like Kalifornia) you cannot legally put an older engine in a car.

530

because the 2005-2007 models are all "2nd Gen" Liberty's... and all of those models all share parts anyways... I personally dont see why it wouldnt fit.. its the same engine.. but like dude above stated, Like in CA you cant put an older engine in a car. however in other states that pretty much shouldnt be an issue..
