2011 Lincoln MKT -do we need to drop the gas tank to get to the gas pump?

To repair the fuel pump. Do you have to drop
the gas tank to get to the fuel pump? It has a
second row console. No access inside? Fixing
for a friend.

Access would probably be under back seat or in the trunk , if there is access .

I would say remove the back seat cushions, the access panel will be under there.
