Electrical problems

Asked by Skyler Apr 01, 2018 at 12:49 PM about the 2010 Ford F-150 STX SuperCab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today drove my truck just fine then mid day got in
it and started fine however I have no turn signals,
no hazards, no heat or A/C, no radio, and my
parking brake light is on. Is there a relay I'm
missing or something?

Check the turn signal fuse. It's in the fuse box, fuse 6--20 amp. Not only check the fuse, check for voltage on the fuse circuit, hot all the time. Use a test light. Usually with multiple issues, I just pick one system that has a problem, then check voltage and ground. Fixing one system, may or may not fix the others. I didn't check to see if smart junction box is involved with those other systems.

Well I have checked multiple fuses and now the truck will not even turn over. It tries too but it's like it's not getting a spark to fire up. I just turn the key and let go and it just keeps revving until I turn the key back.

Alright after running a tuner, and much research I've figured it out to be the PCM (poertrain control module) and/or the wiring harnesses comming from the PCM.

My 1987 f150 4.9 had same issues. It turned out to be the key switch wasn't returning from start to run position completely.
