I see some questions have been answered about the fuel my question is as we have a gas station who sells ethanol free 85 octane gas is that safe to run in my Flex Fuel vehicle

Yes. You'll get slightly better gas mileage, maybe a half a mile per gallon. If they have 83 octane you can use that. The down side is the difference in price. In my area ethanol free is about 40 cent a gallon more. Try to stay away from any gasoline with more than 10 percent ethanol. Your gas mileage will suffer. People who use e 85 have their gas mileage cut by about 60 percent.
