Mud in my alternator

I went missing and my battery light came on shortly after.
How can I clean the alternator shoo I can get home. It is a
2010 Toyota tundra..

If you got mud in the alternator and it stopped charging the damage is done.

Replace the alternator. Cleaning it would require you to completely disassemble it, for starters. Not a job for the do it yourselfer. Hope that helps! Jim

I'd hose it down real good and see what happens. Damage is likely already done as previously mentioned.
