Car not wanting to start

Asked by Cortneyc97 Feb 28, 2020 at 09:07 AM about the 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5 SR

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a push start 2010 Nissan Altima.
Everything has been perfect with this car
except the last month. Every time I get in it will
Show a orange car on the dash with a key
looking symbol inside when I try to crank the
car it won’t crank it goes around the motions
on the start button it will turn my radio on then
back off if you press and hold again. I found a
video that said pushing the little switch under
the brake pedal on the left there’s 2 down
there I will wiggle and push down on the left
side and it will start. But now the past week
even doing that it will not start. I’m 8 months
pregnant I have no idea about cars and not
many people around here work on them we
stay in a very small town so I don’t know what
to do. I don’t want to take it to the dealership
and then charge me an arm and a leg but I
need this fixed. What could it be and how
could I fix it?
