what does negotiable mean in price?

It means that they are willing to negotiate on the price- example: if it says 2500 or best offer, they might take 2000 if they have no other offers. Some dealers are one price, and if it says 7995 on the car, you WILL pay 7995 or you can't have the car. I hope this helps.

There is NO price under the price line..They just have "-----" in field, so I don't know WHERE the negotiation begins....Makes it hard when they don't give you ANY price range to start with

they are trying to get you to contact them if they don't list a price and only say "negotiable"- in that case, look up the book value so you have an idea of what the car should sell for- also if possible, look up the car's history via AUTOCHECK or CARFAX to make sure you are buying a legitimate car and not one that was wrecked and rebuilt- those cars are worth way less than one that hasn't been wrecked, but they won't tell you that- good luck.
