front rotational noise already replaced front wheel bearings

Asked by Guru9FDJYB Nov 18, 2022 at 10:52 AM about the 2010 Honda Civic EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had both wheel bearings replaced. On the way home I noticed a
rotational chirp at speeds under 40mph. it only happens when the car is
warmed up driven 3 miles. the noise goes quiet when the brakes are applied.

The dust shield around the knuckle may be making contact , it may be very close and only do it on certain occasions , The original pads and calipers may have been put back in without inspection or attention to detail . Is it coming from the back ?

Did anyone check the brake pads? Some have what they call sounders that will rub slightly on the brake rotor and make a chirping sound until you go fast enough or push the brakes. They are designed to warn you the pads are wearing down so you can replace them before they destroy the brake rotors.

I'm surprised you're asking here and not at the mechanic demanding they properly do the job you paid for. You didn't have a chirp when you took the car in and you shouldn't have a chirp now. Yes,,, It's likely just a loose or improperly installed shield or brake part.
