2010 Subaru Outback, blown head gasket, warped head.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm considering the purchase of a new or refurbished head on ebay.  Can you tell if a part like that will match up with my car and have a good fit?  Or can that only be determined once you have the part in hand?

Ask the seller. There is no way I could say since I don't know your car or the sellers parts.

Not asking if it's the right part. I'm asking if there is risk that a new head - the right part # and all that - might not have the right tolerances on my car? Are they that micro, or will the correct part always fit?
