Over drive light

Just put a transmission on my 2005 Ford Explorer
motor 4.6 and when I go to 70 mph my o/v light
comes on and it says check transmission but I stop
and turn it of all goes away no lights or nothing

If you dealt with a transmission place they gave you a warranty. I hope they did, take it back to them.

Had the exact same problem with my 2003 explorer with the 4.0 engine. My tranny guy told me to bring it to him when the light comes on again, and do not turn off the engine. Hooked up a reader to the PCM and told me to go inside and read a magazine. It was an exterior sensor (35 bucks) on the exterior of the transmission/engine. Forty-five minutes to fix including the time to have a worker run and get the part.
