The handle itself is such a lightweight piece of plastic and prone to breaking right where it connects to the cable. Pull the door panel off, then you can see what's going on with the handle/cable. If the handle is broken, you can get a replacement from most salvage yards. I bought one from a Pull-a-part for $5. If the yard doesn't have any Focus' in stock, check similar models, like a Mercury Milan, same part used on both.

I found one at a scrap yard very cheap. Delaer wanted almost 200 to make repair, I can do it myself for under 20 thanks to your help.
How do I fix the door lock on the driver's side it open from the in side but not the out side I'm a woman and need help fix it
