Why wont my 2010 Ford Focus Reverse?

Asked by Aug 04, 2017 at 03:49 PM about the 2010 Ford Focus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently started having trouble with my car as far as it starting. I went to
various mechanics and each told me something different I ended up
replacing the tires, the starter, and the battery. My car finally started to work
again however now the problem is different, my car no longer goes in
reverse. The mechanic said that the car has a solenoid problem and needs
replacing however that even replacing it will not fix the problem because the
problem is inside the transmission. My question is what is the problem and
what parts do I need to buy to fix it

The tires, starter and battery have absolutely nothing to do with the transmission not working. You need a good transmission shop to fix a transmission.
