Engine oil pan drain plug thread stripped

Asked by FireInMyLungz Feb 23, 2020 at 01:53 PM about the 2010 Scion tC Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an oil pan that has stripped threads, it just spins
clockwise and also counterclockwise. I'm ready to tap it
and use an insert but my only problem is I can't get this
darn drain plug out! Any ideas? Please and thank you!

Perhaps vise grips will work. Pull and turn at the same time.
