2010 Lincoln MKZ Sunroof won't fully close

Asked by JLKiefer Sep 11, 2017 at 03:57 PM about the 2010 Lincoln MKS 3.7L AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I try to close sunroof on my 2010 Lincoln MKZ, the lever at the front
doesn't get pushed down on the driver side, and won't let the glass come all the
way forward. It appears to catch the lever on the passenger side first. I've tried
to grease the arms that hold the lever up but that didn't seem to work.

I am having that same problem. Unfair to us, if you have no answers!

I have the same problem. Observed: Wire attached to the "Wind Shield" is pushed down by a plastic "Block" on the bottom of the sun room glass frame. It pushes that wire down, which LOWERS the "Wind Shield". On mine that "Block" is broken and there's nothing to ride that Wire to push the wind shield down.

Mine is the same problem as valley623. The dealer wants $1700 for a new roof because they have to buy the whole thing to replace that one part. I will be looking for another solution.
