Should I repair or replace my car CD/radio?

I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla and all of a
sudden after a few hot days the dashboard
controls to the radio/CD do not work. The
radio still works by using the controls on the
steering wheel, and the volume and tuning
knobs still work everything else does not. I
can't even eject the CDs anymore.  Don't
know what the problem is or how to repair it.  
Any thoughts? I don't want to take it into the
shop and pay $200 just for diagnosis.

No, absolutely not the Dealer for this. All they will do is want to put in a new audio system for maybe $500. Take it to a reputable auto 'sound shop' ... Google search for one near you

Is there a CD in it now stuck? When you say hot days, it might have warped and that's why it's stuck and just getting it out might solve everything... except your CD. Probably your favorite

This happened too to my 2013 Corolla Altis with similar CD Radio player, twice. First happened nearly after 2.5 years upon buying the car new, and I managed to get a new replacement unit since it is still within warranty period. However the new unit also faced similar issue after around 7 months, which I could not claim the warranty. I do find out that, sometimes by pressing the display panel hard against the player, I could resolve this issue temporarily until it failed against sometimes later.
