before you do anything, check to see if the pcv valve is clogged or bad. really unusual for a car that new with that few miles to burn oil. If the crankcase cant vent , the pressure will cause the oil to go where it shouldn't and your engine will burn it. worth a look anyway.

Our 05 2.5L Gran Vitara with 140K miles started smoking at every startup and it looked like a mosquito fogger. Engine ran fine, no missing, and no OBDC codes. Finally fixed it on round two of the repairs and it was indeed the PCV system like Mark suggested above. I paid $700 to have replace valve cover & intake gaskets and we saw a HOLE BUNCH of oil in the intake manifold. This time they replace the PCV valve (AGAIN) and I ask them to Clear the PCV suction ports inside the valve covers and make sure all oil drain back passages in the cylinder head were not clogged. I also put an in line filter in the PCV hose to make sure oil was not still entering the intake manifold. 2 week now and absolutely no more smoking at startup.
