My BMW x5 has no heat, only cold air, also it says the coolant is low, are these two connected?

The seats r heating and the steering
wheel too, but no hot air at all

Yes you most likely have a coolant leak some where in the system. I would do a pressure test on the cooling system and look for any leaks. If you find no leaks fill the system and then test your heat. Also make sure all your climate controls in the idrive are set to hot.
