Power door locks not working

Asked by Guru99SS4P Oct 09, 2020 at 03:17 PM about the 2009 Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 f150 4 door platuim truck.  The other day
when I parked and got out to go to the store I hit my fob to
lock the doors.. but nothing happened.  I tried the power
lock on the door and still nothing so I was forced to lock my
doors manually. Currently the only way to lock and unlock is
via the key in the door and manually at each door.  I
checked the fuse it is good. I changed the batteries in the
FOB. I read your posts but they seem to be people with only
one door that is not working.  I don't see any physical
issues at any door  or wiring harness.  Any suggestion on
what to start looking at. One other thing was early in the
day I opened my rear drivers door but my power running
boards did not come out. I closed the door and then
opened the door and it worked and have been working
since   I am not sure if it has anything to do with my doors
not locking

Since the door will not lock with the master control switch on the drivers side door, suspect no power to it. Since the fuse is good (I suspect you checked it visually) unplug the fuse and make sure no corrosion has developed on it and replace. If met with negative results you will have to remove the drivers side door panel and access the wires to the control unit. Use a multi meter and check for 12 volts to the control.
