09 dodge 1500 4.7 cruise control does not work

the cruise control on my truck won't work, any ideas on what to try??

does the 4wheel drive lockup mine did that last year it was a relay on the computer board took it to dealer they switched to a different relay been fine ever since

Brake light switch could be malfunctioning making the computer think the pedal down to cancel the cruise.

Mike, I just read your answer about the brake light switch causing it so I gave the brake pedal a quick little kick. Instant fix. Cruise is back. Must be the switch on it's way out. Thank you
