My 2009 Ram 1500 is reading readiness cycles in the OBD scanner.

Asked by Guru9LF9XP Sep 12, 2021 at 10:53 AM about the 2009 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck is not passing the yearly inspection due to readiness cycles not being
ready. I've tried multiple drive cycles like 60 MPH for 15 miles as my mechanic
told me but it's till not clearing to pass inspection. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you

Your gas gauge needs to be between one quarter and three quarters full for all the readiness monitors to set. Once your gas gauge is in that range just drive normally for a few days and they'll set. Since your truck is a 2009 model it will pass Emissions inspection under Federal Law with one readiness monitor not set. Doesn't matter which one as long as all the others are set. Hope that helps! Jim
