if my mini cooper clubman 2009 jerks while i am driving, could it be the transmission

It could be the transmission slipping. It could be the engine miss firing.

Automatic transmission? CVT? 5-speed? a CVT jerks as a matter of function if you aren't handling the throttle gingerly~
