2009 crv idle up and down

our 2009 CRV idle goes up & down (like it's breathing) from 1000 to 2000 rpm
when i have it on Drive w/out stepping the gas.  so I'm just going about 15mph.  
Check engine light is On.  A/C works.  Other than that it runs fine on highways,
freeways, etc.  Need to fix to get Tags and not sure where to begin.  thank you.

Most common problem when it comes to high low idle is to check for any broken hose near the throttle body or intake. Honda's are notorious for broken intake tubes. If that doesn't work, you might need a throttle body cleaning then doing an Idle relearn. Most mechanics who have a high end scan tool can do idle relearn easy. You can do it manually as well, but you would have to google that. Throttle body cleaning, then idle relearn of no broken hoses found around engine. Good luck! Viva Mexico
