Why is my car shutting off

While driving I noticed my car blanked out
suddenly as though the car lost power then I
came to a complete stop and it shut off
completely no lights came on the dash bored
and it cranked back up with no problem

what do the plugs look like ? Is it properly maintained ? air filter , clean oil ? check vacuum and emission hoses/lines
