I replaced my 2005 Prius starter battery with an Optimus battery in 2011 so I guess they last 5-6 years. I did the replacement myself with the very good instructions that came with the new battery. I just joined the forum, sorry for the delay.

i just bought a 2009 and had to replace the battery. so i guess they last any where between 5 and six years

Well, that's great, I'm happy if I get 48 months in my auxiliary battery, that's the one that starts the car! Heat and stress can shorten the life of these. Always check your alternator and battery together, they can't work effectively alone.
