Interchangeable transmission

Your vehicle uses the CD4E transmission. In 2005 the shifter was moved to the center console, 2001 to 2004 the shifter was on the steering column. The older transmission might work, but things would need to be swapped over. So 2005 to 2008. I think they are the same between 2wd and 4wd , just without a transfer case. Personally I would not install an older or used transmission in your vehicle, rebuild it if you plan on keep the car more than a couple years like Chevy mentioned above.
