2009 with 23,000 miles, timing belt replacement

My dealer advised me to replace my timing belt on my 2009 Tucson because
the car is 6 years old.  I think this is 'overkill' and would like to wait until I have
at least 60,000 miles before changing.  Does the 'age'  of the timing belt affect
its reliability?  I only drive 2000 or 3000 a year, and do not want to waste
money on a replacement if it is not needed.

Change it, I know there is some cost associated but it is definitely less than waiting out and taking a bigger bill later on if it breaks when you least expect it to.

It depends how you drive your vehicle as well. If you jack rabbit from stop lights and stop signs, or have a teen age son , or if you pass on the highway aggressively all this takes a toll on your belt I recently scrapped my 2008 pontiac wave 1.6 with 345,000 km on it and the belt was changed one time at 150,000 km but most people drive their vehicles way too hard
