Why ruin a perfectly good car? The V6 probably has more power than the old 302. Your car would also not be street legal (smog).

Listen my engine blew and I found a 302 for cheap nothing wrong with it new heads and all I'm tryin to find out can I do it and I live in Florida now emissions here

The cost and trouble are not worth it in my opinion. If you find another 4.0 V6 change the timing chains before you install.

That cheap 302 will then turn into an expensive transmission, driveshaft, exhaust, brakes, motor mounts, ECM, wiring harness, cooling system, etc. You will spend more money than what the car is worth with a good engine.
