Dropping Oil Pressure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start my vehicle the pressure goes to
40. Within the first 10-15 minutes driving and
the vehicle engine is still cold if I stop at a
stop sign or traffic light the preesure drops to
0.  I don’t hear anything in the motor that is
different. When I take off it goes back up and
the rest of the day it is ok does not do that
any more.  I drive a lot with my job.  It is
happening when the vehicle sits overnight.  
What could be wrong?

Thank you for your answer I am probably wrong about the 15 minutes. The engine warms up fine. The gauge goes down for the every time I stop and I stop about 3 times in a mile to mile and half. Then it quits doing it until the next day. I have it at the shop right now - is there anything you could tell to let him know to look at?

Mines did the same thing, it was the wire connector. The black piece in the middle falls out somehow & that allows all 3 metal pieces in the harness to touch & read fucked up!
