What is the proper procedure for getting water out of my fuel system on my 2008 Chevy 2500 HD?

Use Heet in the red bottle.

Fuel tends to float above the water. Airplanes have a sump in each tank to check for water contamination. Suggest detaching the fuel line and drain a quart into a clear container. Dispose of drainage properly.
