I just purchased my used car and the A/C is not very cold at all; even on max. My nieghbors 6 series A/C is freezing. Should I buy one of those kits to recharge it myself?

Even with th top up; the A/C does not get that cold.  Should I just buy one of those A/C kits that have the pressure guage on it and recharge it myself?  Also, I see two possible lines that the kit could connect two.  does it matter which one?  Looks like both are A/C lines.

The ac kit you buy will only fit one,and make sure it is the low pressure side.
