Can I buy a replacement glove box key

I lost my key and the box is locked. I  tried the valet button but it seems to be
locked and did not work. I need to replace a use and I need to open the glove
box

A BMW dealer might be able to read the lock and make a replacement key for it, but this is doubtful. You'll likely have to replace the lockset and that will come with a new key. Whoever does this work will be able to get the box open.

Your local locksmith is the best option for a 16 year old BMW. Hope that helps! Jim
